Making Your Marriage Work
For those who are finding their
honeymoon is over, there is “hope
in the midst of hassles”!
This fun and light-hearted workshop is for married couples
that know ‘the honeymoon is over’. It is for those who know they need more
marital skills and who need more hope (so that they will use their new skills).
The message of hope and growth draws from two sources:
 |
A
Bible study on the realities of marriage and its innate hardships. (This was
actually the subject matter of Dr. Focks’ doctoral dissertation.) The message of
hope is that, via the hardships of marriage, the couple’s emotional and
spiritual health ever improves.
|
 |
A psychological
study on the requisite skills for a successful marriage that actually enjoys
intimate love. Those skills for overcoming marital hardships are building
blocks in a Relational Pyramid and are four-fold:
 |
Intimacy / Love |
 |
Conflict
Management |
 |
Communication
|
 | Personal Soul Health |
|
|

|
This workshop has
repeatedly been praised for being both effective and entertaining.

All
training includes interactive practice sessions and can be tailored to meet the
specific needs of the church or organization that hosts it. |
